RESEARCH (科学研究)

Research Description (研究简介)

My research is revolutionizing the sustainability and resilience of civil engineering materials. My bottom-up approach integrates cement chemistry and chemistry at the organic/inorganic interface to elucidate the materials’ processing-structure-property relationships. My research goals are to (1) develop sustainable cementitious materials; (2) optimize material properties, for example, to facilitate 3D printing; and (3) advance functionalities such as environmental remediation. I hope my research will make the following vision a reality: to take minimum to build but build something safe/comfortable and something of the future (see figure below).

本人研究旨在通过水泥化学和有机/无机材料界面化学从根本上阐明土木工程材料“制备-结构-性能”关系,从而对其可持续性抗灾韧性做出变革型提升。研究方向包括以下三方面:(1) 开发低碳凝胶;(2) 优化材料性能;(3) 探索高级特性。该研究有望帮助实现如下愿景:以最少的经济环境成本建造安全舒适并且具有将来意义的基础设施(如下图所示)。




研究成果受到国际同行认可。目前共发表约17SCI期刊论文,如 Journal of the American Ceramic Society, ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, Construction and Building Materials, Cement and Concrete Research, Cement and Concrete Composites 等水泥领域顶级或知名期刊。目前总被引308次,H因子=10 (Google Scholar)。在国际知名学术会议作口头报告(含受邀)10余次;受邀赴香港科技等多所知名大学作研讨会主题报告。作为学术骨干参与美国国家自然科学基金、能源部基金项目2项。

I hope the new students will hold a B.S. in civil/structural engineering, materials science and engineering, mechanics, chemical and biotechnical engineering, or a related discipline. Previous experience in cementitious materials, materials characterization and physical chemistry is desirable, but not required.

鉴于课题的学科交叉性,欢迎具有土木结构、材料、化学、力学、生物等相关知识背景的学生报考研究生;尤其欢迎具有水泥基材料、材料表征、物理化学等相关研究经历或具有保研资格的同学报考。
